Getting the letter of acceptance
After the applicant has completed applying for the university of their choice, they must patiently wait to hear back from them. This is essential before they proceed any further.
Starting the application process
The applicant can apply for the visa either online or offline. For the former, electronic copies of all the requested documents must be created. For the latter, the applicant can find a particular kit online(application kit) that will provide them with everything they need to understand how to complete the application. There is a website available where the candidate can check whether or not they are eligible for their visa. It will also tell them all of the documents that they need to apply for their visa.
Uploading requested documents
After creating an account on the CIC website and checking if they are eligible for the visa(as mentioned in the previous step), students will be sent a personal checklist code that will contain information pertaining to the documents and fees needed for the application. On receiving this code, the applicant must create a MyCIC account where the code should be entered. This is where they will have to upload all of the documents that they have been asked to. If this is not done within 60 days, the code will expire.
Finishing the application
If the applicant has completed all of the previously mentioned steps properly, they can now submit their application to the CIC. They will then receive a Port of Entry(POE) Letter of Introduction if their application has been approved. The applicant must then submit this letter, their other documents, proof of fees payment, and passport, to the Canada Border Services Agency(CBSA). They will provide the applicant with a student visa. They can use this to gain entry into Canada and study there according to their wish.
